Premise

A girl desperately interested in you, a childhood friend, and here you are, trapped in the middle.

Of course this isn't a situation you wanted to be in. An accident that hurt your childhood friend and the desperation and generosity of your erstwhile interest meant that, whether you want it or not, you are now stuck between a rock and a hard place. But, perhaps, with some luck and care, you can still get out of this situation happy and unscathed.
